A Chromatic and Sensory Journey to the 8 Cardinal Points of France

It’s often forgotten that many of the plants around us contain natural dyes. Virginie Lagerbe, colorist-designer at the Peregreen studio, has drawn from this botanical richness to compose unique ambiances. Every hue tells a story; every shade reveals an emotion. Depending on the fabric – linen, wool – the natural dyes unveil subtle and surprising harmonies.

The hotel’s 80 rooms showcase eight chromatic worlds, inspired by dye plants native to the diverse landscapes of France. Each room transports you to a different corner of the country – from mountains to plains, coasts to forests, north to south.

As soon as you enter, you are greeted by a ninth harmony: that of oak. Found across all French regions, it serves as the hotel’s guiding thread. It connects every space – from the guest rooms to the welcoming lounges, from the meeting room transformed into a cabinet of curiosities, to our immersive space – and embodies warmth, authenticity, and a grounded sense of place.

A Fully Immersive Experience: Colors, Scents, Sensations

Arnaud Basselier (BJA Architecture) and Laure Zucconi (DZArchitecture) masterfully directed the renovation, preserving the hotel’s spirit while infusing it with modern, nature-inspired elegance. The immersion continues through bespoke scented candles crafted by Pot de Senteur and our 360° immersive room that brings French landscapes vividly to life.

Each room features watercolor artworks by Alexei Dernov, evoking the landscapes that inspired the hotel’s color palettes. Textile color charts, illustrated with botanical sketches by Maeva Lardin, showcase the plants behind the colors, offering a poetic and sensory visual journey.
